Ardan, in concert with the Technology Transfer contract with Gunderboom, trains and employs Kuna people who are working on many aspects and disciplines of the projects, including commercial diving, surveying, sawmill operation, heavy equipment operation and administrative support. Ardan is constructing a shoreside operational center on the north shore of Lake Gatun to house the trainees and conduct harvesting operations.
Ardan and the Kuna Indians have formed a unique partnership to manage forests, tourism and other projects in the indigenous reserves, called Comarcas. The Kuna culture is exotic and unique. Even to many Panamanians Kuna culture and traditions are not widely known because the Kuna have always kept them isolated in order to protect their culture.

The exotic hardwood harvest crew includes Kuna divers.
